A small locomotive pulling one flatbed car for each letter of a child's name. The letters are cut on a scroll saw from maple, cherry and walnut in rotation, edges broken by hand, and they lift out of their slots so they can be spelled on the floor instead.

Four letters is $160. Each additional letter is $32. Names up to twelve letters fit comfortably; past that we will quote a longer engine and a second coupling.

It is the piece with the least margin for error, so we confirm the spelling in writing before a single letter is cut.

Recommended for ages three and up. These pieces contain small parts and are not intended for children under three. Finished in a plant-based, food-safe hardwax oil with no lacquer or polyurethane. Wipe clean with a damp cloth — never submerge, and never put it in a dishwasher.
